It's always been about people.
It started with a Minolta X700 the week before my Bar Mitzvah. Four decades later, I still love the same thing about photography: getting people comfortable, finding the right expression, and creating a photograph that feels like them.
Photography stayed with me.
By high school, I was photographing the yearbook, and the camera never really went away. Photography changed enormously over the years. Film became digital, darkrooms became computers. But what makes a good portrait never changed. It still comes down to the person in front of the camera.
For years, my career lived in the boardroom alongside the darkroom. After earning my MBA in Finance and Management from NYU Stern, I ran Spectrum Asset Management and later two early-stage venture funds, Premier Ventures and the Israel IT Venture Fund.
Sitting across the table from founders, executives, and investors taught me something most photographers never see firsthand: how quickly people read confidence, warmth, and credibility, and how much rides on getting that first impression right. Today, that perspective shapes every session I shoot.
Over time, I continued to develop the craft professionally, becoming a PPA Certified Professional Photographer and, in 2020, earning the Master of Photography degree.

The technical side is my job
Lighting, posing, expression and all the small details matter. I pay attention to them so you don't have to. My job is to guide you, make adjustments and know when everything comes together.
You're never left guessing
Most people freeze up in front of a camera because no one tells them what's working. I shoot tethered to a live monitor and talk you through every micro-adjustment: the tilt of a chin, the angle of a shoulder, the shift from a forced smile to a real expression. You see the exact frame you want on screen.

My studio
My studio is at 210 The Plaza, Suite 11, Teaneck, NJ 07666. It is built to feel calm, private, and unhurried, just minutes from the George Washington Bridge with easy parking right outside the door. Clients come in from across Bergen County, including Englewood, Tenafly, Fort Lee, and Hackensack, as well as Northern New Jersey and the greater New York City area.
The photograph is mine to create. The person in it should still be you.
You do not have to be good at having your picture taken.
